Increase in anxiety is school age children & young people

A national survey of the mental health of the school population in England has identified an increase in anxiety over the last 10 years.

The full reasons for this are not identified and may be complex. Whilst there has been much comment about the pressures associated with social media and changing lifestyles, it is likely that other factors may also play a part, including the uncertain economic outlook, stagnating wage growth, and changes in family structure.

The full survey results can be found here.

The survey was condicted in 2017 using the DAWBA.
